Abhängigkeit
Unter Abhängigkeit versteht man in der Psychiatrie ein enges Verbundensein eines Menschen
- mit einem anderen Menschen oder
- mit einem Suchtmittel.
Bei der Abhänigkeit von einem Suchtmittel unterscheidet man „körperliche Abhängigkeit“ und „psychische Abhängigkeit“, obwohl beide Formen sich gegenseitig beeinflussen und oft nebeneinander vorkommen.
Körperliche Abhängigkeit:
Von „Körperlicher Abhängigkeit“ spricht man dann, wenn nach dem Absetzen einer Substanz ein sogenanntes –> Entzugssyndrom auftritt. Ein weiteres Kennzeichen körperlicher Abhängigkeit ist die Entwicklung einer –> Toleranz gegenüber der zugeführten Droge.
Bei körperlicher Abhängigkeit hält die Angst vor den –> Entzugssymptomen den Drogenkonsum aufrecht, die Entwicklung einer Toleranzentwicklung verführt zu ständigen Dosisanpassungen, um wieder dieselbe Wirkung erzielen zu können.
Psychische Abhängigkeit:
„Psychische Abhängigkeit“ entwickelt sich meist erst bei wiederholter Einnahme einer Droge, v. a. wenn es sich um einen freiwilligen aktiven Drogenkonsum handelt. Pathogenetisch spielt bei der Ausbildung der psychischen Abhängigkeit das sogenannte –> Belohnungssystem im Hirn eine Rolle. Das starke psychische Verlangen nach dem gewohnten Suchtmittel wird auch als „craving“ bezeichnet.
